The Raging Fight
Two different people,
Two different lives
But they are never seperate,
They are locked in the same mind
They feel each other, see each other,
All the time
And they both...
Walk the same line
One is old,
And the other is wise,
One accepts,
And the other denies!
I know,
That I am,
Always changing
But inside,
Of me,
A battle is raging!
Everything I thought I knew,
Was wrong
I fought so hard,
Just to belong
And I was what I needed to be,
All along
That's what every day,
I am facing,
Who I am and who I used to be,
The fight is raging...
One took more than he gave,
And reveled in destruction,
The other gives everything he has,
With less than no hesitation
Would you believe,
That both people are me,
My god!
It's so confusing...!
One is old,
And the other is wise,
One accepts,
And the other denies!
I know,
That I am,
Always changing
But inside,
Of me,
A battle is raging!
Everything I thought I knew,
Was wrong
I fought so hard,
Just to belong
And I was what I needed to be,
All along
That's what every day,
I am facing,
Who I am and who I used to be,
The fight is raging...
I am who I am,
The only way I know to be!
And I know that if one of us ends...
Then the other too will cease!
One lies and denies...
The other has learned...
To cry!
I know,
That I am,
Always changing
But inside,
Of me,
A battle is raging!
Everything I thought I knew,
Was wrong!
I fought so hard,
Just to belong
And I was what I needed to be,
All along!

Fight of Yin and Yang
We always fall into each other
not intentionally
Our actions speak more then
our words could, so far
We'll find excuses for our
actions and behavior till
there is nothing left to hide
and then into those eyes we'll stare
Soon we'll reach that moment of understanding
the moment when our hearts are in tune
Never lasts very long because we're afraid
but for some reason our contact we can't sever
Yet it won't always be this way
I can't explain, it just feels set
I know that at some point things will change
that deep down we'll accept this binding emotion this tie
I don't know exactly when we'll reach
this point but I know why..

An Angel's Mask
Hiding the tears,
Hiding the shame,
Hiding self loathing,
Hiding the pain,
Donning my mask
once again.
Behind this mask so many emotions I feel,
Never again will I share them
and express how I feel,
Buried deep they will stay,
away from all that causes me pain.
Taking off this mask was a big mistake,
All it did was cause me more misery
and pain.
Trusting people, letting them in,
only caused me to be hurt again.
So from this moment on none will see,
all of this turmoil inside of me.
I will smile in your face,
and you won't know,
the depths of the tears,
that run from my soul. '

Parallel to Letting Go
Trying to find the the ratio
Between pain and misshapen confusion,
The definition, I petition,
Looking for this master equation.
Undefined yet well-traveled,
A map that changes landscape
With the slightest change of fate,
The slightest straying of a variable.
A million variables,
One careless error
Callous our fervor,
Halt our focus.

Each of us, ALL of us, are two different people, we each have both light and dark inside us.
And only through wisdom can our light hold our darkness at bay.
You will no doubt notice that the chorus has two different "flows" to it, it's meant to be that way, it signifies both parts of me, the old, angry fighter, and the person I have become, the one who is, it seems, just a little more wise each day.
