Every day we...struggle to find ourselves,
Struggle to find our faith,
Struggle with learning to live with,
Pain that has such a bitter taste
Every night we...relive the day,
The ones that came before,
Thinking about the future,
And what's in store
And...then...we
Fall asleep,
And then we dream,
Wondering just who...
We will one day be
On...our...knees...
Living with love, living with laughter,
Living every day, that's all that matters!
On...our...knees...
If we open our hearts, then we will see,
The rhythm of our lives, the melody
Every day we...reach out our hands,
To someone who is in need of it,
Someone who is a puzzle,
And the pieces just don't fit
Every night we...remember all the ones we meet,
Remember all the songs we sing,
Remember the ones that we love,
And how to us, they mean everything
And...then...we
Fall asleep,
And then we dream,
Wondering just who...
We will one day be
On...our...knees...
Living with love, living with laughter,
Living every day, that's all that matters!
On...our...knees...
If we open our hearts, then we will see,
The rhythm of our lives, the melody
Everyone lives with the sorrow of ages,
Everyone feels so frustrated,
And everyone grieves...
Everyone loses their illusions,
Everyone lives in confusion,
And everyone bleeds...
And everyone dreams...
Wondering just who...
They could one day be!
On...our...knees...
Living with love, living with laughter,
Living every day, that's all that matters!
On...our...knees...
If we open our hearts, then we will see,
The rhythm of our lives, the melody!
On...our...knees...
Everyone lives with their own shame,
Everyone has a share of the blame
On...our...knees...
Living with love, living with laughter,
And everyone has to see that everyone matters!
On...our...knees...
If we open our hearts, then we will see,
The rhythm of our lives, the melody...

Our Melody
I've never been one
to write
a love song,
but it sure feels like
we've been writing one
all along.
So give me a minute,
to rehearse my lyrics;
(because we only have
a bit of time before
you say goodbye.)
As I pour out words
of love and wisdom;
won't you look me
in the eyes
once more
before I cry.
Because you may not
love me,
but the way that you
hold me
makes me feel
like we're doing alright.
So give me a chance,
grant me one last dance,
maybe this love song
will find you and I;
Singing the melody
together.

Strum My Soul
You don't know what your words mean to me,
Coming from your lips they gently strum my soul,
Make it bathe in graceful serenity and pure ecstasy,
You take my soul to heights it has never reached before.
Nonetheless, my dear, you are there and I am here,
It is cold and snowy there and warm and barren here,
You watch the sunset there when I watch the sunrise here,
Yet I go to sleep every night thinking of your silky smooth skin.

The Ballad
You once told me music could be made from anything in the world. I didn't believe you for a long time. I used to drive the streets of where we loved hearing soft murmurs of music in the folds of the tree trunks and the ripples of the rivers. I understood that music could come from the very depths of some being . But not from anything .
When words fail me,
Listen to my Musique,
Fold into the Melody,
Of a haunting Echo.
I listened hard when I walked through cool green fields of tall grass leaning to its neighbours. I heard the beat of an owls wings last night - you probably wouldn't believe me if I had told you that I could p

There is a rhythm to our lives, a melody, we simply have to see it for what it is, and flow with it, instead of fighting it.
I know some will cry, and it's ok.
I cried writing it. It happens more than you know.
Sometimes, being heard doesn't require screaming, we simply have to say the right words, quietly. Words are so powerful, so beautiful, and they, like all things, have a melody.
Listen to it.
