Literature Text
The land reaches out into the distance,
To the point where ground and sky become one
It is farther than an eye can see
My love stretches further
The mountains reach up, pointing fingers, they seem,
They are pushing the floor of heaven
It is farther than the eye can see
My love reaches further
The oceans, so wide, so deep,
Deep, they must be, for the secrets they bury
It is deeper than than a man can go
My love is deeper
Billions upon billions, sharing love, sharing all,
Each stands, alone or together, and each one falls,
Sometimes, with blessings and luck, into another's eyes
I am the most blessed, the luckiest, I feel
I fall into four pairs of eyes every single day of my life
It is more than mere passion,
More than mere desire
It is more than mere want and need,
More than a willingness to bleed
It is an agony of ecstacy,
That enables me to be me
My love, for all of you,
Stretches further, goes so very much deeper,
Causes me to fall so very far into eyes that never end
In a universe that can be a void, a blackness,
Each of you lights my way,
Each holds never ending onto my body, my soul, my heart
In an otherwise empty, false forever,
You are my stars

Ambers Waves, Blue Eyes
Fingers like a willow, bending at his whim
Run through amber waves of grain.
(blue eyes and somber cups of tea defined evenings and testimonies of simpler things)
He will hold her in his eyes the blues ones and tell her secrets of the world
Like pixie dreams and broken seams and tired, creaky balance beams;
Intertwining fingers and clasped hearts.
Finally.

I See Through Your Eyes
Hushed cries seep under the doors and through the walls in the ward,
as souls slip into a slow decay.
I don't belong here, wandering these halls.
The sick drift like lost ghosts with limp hands outstretched,
searching for meaning in their charts
and the strange language of the nurses.
hospitals are just pretty morgues.
You used to make me smile, but there's nothing to smile about in here.
there's only sadness and a sorrow
that creeps into the shape of my bones.
I don't want to live like this.
I don't want to be alone.
There is nothing here.
voices whisper through the darkness for my name,
and I am powerless.

And the stars close their eyes
The air here is thick and heavy and I feel drunk but I am not. I am tired and lonely and drowning in the dark of another day I cannot force myself to handle. There are hands at my throat and, I swear, the promises I swallowed are making deals with the devil and drilling through my esophagus, escaping my body like the smoke in my lungs.
The sun sets, and somehow, I forget what I'm trying so hard for, anyway.
My bed does not like me anymore, and scoffs at my attempts to sleep, rejecting me in the early hours when the clock sighs 2:14 and the house greets me with familiar creaks. And the fading woman with shaking hands whispers lullabies throu
