Every birth is violent,
And painful
A rebirth is even more so...
You have to somehow hold on to,
What you were,
And at the same time look at yourself,
And see what you're worth

I am lucky,
'Cause I have angels
Those that hold me,
Those that lift me up...

I am, wondering,
Where I'm going now
I am, seeing,
Things I'd only thought about
I am losing myself in me...
I am, looking,
Myself in the eye
It's so, so easy,
When you no longer try...

Living and learning, watching the days go by

Everything that happens can,
Haunt you
But only if you allow it, if you choose...
And the only way,
That you can move on,
Is if you're prepared to lose
You've got to accept it, you've got to prove

I am lucky,
'Cause I have angels
Those that hold me,
Those that lift me up...

I am, wondering,
Where I'm going now
I am, seeing,
Things I'd only thought about
I am losing myself in me...
I am, looking,
Myself in the eye
It's so, so easy,
When you no longer try...

Living and learning, watching the days go by

The pain is worth it,
The pain reminds you,
That if you get lost,
Just look inside you
I am lucky,
Because I have angels,
Each a part of me,
No longer strangers
They all hold me,
They all lift me up...

I am, wondering,
Where I'm going now
I am, seeing,
Things I'd only thought about
I am losing myself in me...
I am, looking,
Myself in the eye
It's so, so easy,
When you no longer try...

Living and learning, watching the days go by

Life is a surrender, not a fight

Watch, listen, learn, live.

Having angels helps a great deal.

11-19-10*I've rewritten the bridge into the chorus, it's bothered me since I wrote it. :)*

**I'm resubmitting this because I will shortly submit a NEW piece that resembles this a great deal, yet is very, very different, both in tone and in sound. :)
