Once upon a time you loved me forever,
so long ago though I can not remember;
Jealousy killed your romantic speech,
you drained me like an emotional leech.
You wanted to open up my wicked chest,
pop the hatch and set my demons loose,
I tried to love you, I did my very best,
yet you hung me with a spiteful noose.
Point your condemnatory finger at me,
I will set my words on fire so you can see,
look at me with your judgemental eye,
what you inveigh I will not deny.
I will be your embodiment of sin,
your personification of evil,
I will say it with a wicked ass grin,
just fuel my angry upheaval.

I use to love you,
I use to care,
But now it seems like
I have drifted a different way.
Those feelings that I once had for you,
Are no longer there.
I don't think they will come back either.
Honestly, I can't do this anymore.
I can't pretend to love you when I don't.
So I'll save you heart ache,
And I'll give you time to get over me,
But just know that I don't think I'll ever love you again.
It was nice while it lasted,
But it ended way to fast.
You see my heart let go of you.
It couldn't hang on any longer.
It set itself free,
And decided it was time to move on.

This is really amazing
It's a little much for me when you repeated "as the dust settles", I personally thought it didn't really flow with the rhythm, maybe stating it once would have been good enough. Then again it may just be me.
Oh and I really love the depth (message, theme, what ever you like to call it). There there is a good flow of rhythm from the words you used, though some place the rhythm kind of stops short.
Love this piece, keep up the amazing work.
